Hi. A teacher at my school was angry that my bicycle was parked with the teachers bicycles (no rule against this although the area is apparently out of bounds). Without warning me he moved the bike into the teacher's offices, the wheel was locked so he carried it in order to do this. It took me a while to find out thats where it had gone and he refused to give it back until the end of the school day. Im fairly sure its immoral and everything but is it at all illegal? Im just thinking because its basically theft and on private property which does not belong to him.

You're lucky. I would take off your seat and force you to ride home on it.

He didn't intend to deprive you of it permanantly so it isn't theft. You knew damn well that area was off limits. NEXT TIME I KEEP IT!!!

Yeah, if there's no rule against you parking your bike next to the teachers, and if it's just a "taboo", then he has no legal right to take your property from you like that.

Did you go to your principal?
