Legal way to obtain kyocera PST?

I am playing with a KPC-650, trying to switch it from verizon to Cricket.

Well from what I have read, kyocera PST, QPST could be considered warez... so trying to stay on legal high ground and setting a good example, as my daughter has taken an interest in flashing, since she wants a phone, now preferably one she flashed herself.

I have found a way to get a copy of kyocera pst, and in it efs explorer and service programing ect... legally, i hope.

I went to
http://www.kyocera-wireless.com/wireless/firmware.htm

where you can download verizons firmware for the kpc650, when you run it it creates several temp files , and several more once the actual programming has begun which are deleted as soon as its finished, i just never inserted the card when told to, instead I copied the temp files before they were deleted.

So along with several DLL's i now have :
Kyocera Wireless PST Server Version 3.7.70
Kyocera Wireless Software Download Tool 1.0.0.1 (AtlasSDTool.exe)
CG1006.hxb (the actual image file to bring my card from 1004 to 1006)

And a License.txt that says I have the right to use it on 1 PC.

I did use the software to bring my card from rev 1004 to 1006 so I did use it for it's stated purpose.

That being said, I think I have a legal copy to use, is that right?

Here is an excerpt of the license.txt

close all running programs first... except this window

in XP... open my c: drive at menu at top
tools>Folder options> view tab> check show hidden files/folders

then go to
c:\documents and settings\*your login name*\local settings\temp

Again close all running programs, the fewer running the more temp files you can send to recycle bin to and make the new files easy to spot, and copy.

Select all temp file folders except "temp internet files" "history" and "cookies"
and in my case "google toolbar" (it had active temp files because my browser was open to post this.)

send all other temp files to an EMPTY recycle bin (where you can click restore later, and not worry about losing anything)

And then pretty much all files in the temp folder...
Some files may stay as they are still in use but nearly all will go happily to the recycle bin, leaving you an empty window to see all the new stuff appear.

Just leave the temp folder open... minimized whatever..
then run installer... KDU_CG1006.exe

2 new folders and a file appear in the temp folder (new names everytime),
mine were
"_is429"
"{E04D3A0A-9D7C-43A1-AC10-F5291AE5E5C9}"
and a file called "206e.rra"

open up the long named folder "{E04D3A0A-..." folder and you see the license.txt

copy it and anthing else you want to a folder elsewhere on your computer...
After you are done click the next button on the installer...
Agree to the license.txt by clicking yes

I did Not have my card in when it said it was about to be upgraded.. and clicked next again.. look back at your temp folder now... a new folder called "image", and kyocera pst files.. phonelibs etc are now there...

Copy those, ignoring error message the installer gives you...
once copied, you can click finish on the installer as soon as you doo all temp files are gone except a kdulog.dbg...

feel free to restore all files in recycle bin if you think you are gonna lose something.

Hope that helps.
