First of all, 4chan censors certain (seemingly arbitrary, given the nature of the site) worRAB by replacing them with random worRAB when the message is posted. The word "japanophile" was censored using word "*******". The word ******* itself comes from the Perry Bible Fellowship comic (here). Since then, ******* was adopted to be used as an insult against those deemed japanophiles, since many don't consider "otaku" to be an insult anymore.
 
This is really exciting news. FMA Brotherhood's subs aren't even being released as fast as FUNi and Toei plan to release subs of new One Piece episodes.

Basically the same statement they made earlier, but the title says "One Piece Simulcast on hold." Therefore, there is still some hope that the simulcast isn't being pulled completely.
 
About the Funimation player. It didn't seem to take very long to load for me. The problem though is that it causes slowdown on my browser (IE7) for some reason (it's usually back up to speed by the time I get to another site). I'm also able to watch it on my PS3, but it doesn't look as though the player supports the version of JavaScript my PS3 currently has.

Anyway, I noticed that Funimation changed the rating from "TV-PG" to "TV-14". As "V-I-O-L-E-N-T" as the show is, and despite the references to "sak
 
I gotta think the economy will dictate what will happen to One Piece.

If they're making any kind of money off of it would it make sense to pull it? A business minded person will say no.
 
Yeah sounRAB like a bit of over confidence on FUni's part, not having a lot of security on their streaming site. Well they will learn from their mistake.

With all due respect, and in my personal, honest, unbiased opinion, that's not going to solve anything, especially in this situation (I'm not saying "crisis" since I don't think it has gotten to that point yet). The whole point of this initiative/project/whichever you want to call it, is to discourage people from resorting to fansubs. That said, regardless of what happens next (which I along with others hope will be the reinstatement of the near-simulcast of new episodes), it is my personal opinion that if people were to go back to fansubs, then that means that this project had failed and was all for nothing in both the short term and long term.

For these reasons, we should support this by hoping it will be reinstated. One thing is certain, however. Funimation will have to make some kind of statement eventually, otherwise--as someone previously pointed out--they'll keep getting endless questions about it...

True, but I really find it unfair if we will no longer get legal access to this series just because of one person foolish enough to do what he did. I've been buying all the One Piece DVRAB, and I was hoping that maybe we could get the whole series eventually. Not just legal subtitles, but also a legal and uncut English dub that I could enjoy.
 
Well, what do you expect? Toei has been repellent of online streaming because of this very reason. It's like worrying about roller coaster rides falling apart, and your first ride is nearly de-railed.
 
Because, fans complained about it. It's the reason that Eneru is called Eneru instead of Enel or Ener, Marines are called the Marines instead of Navy, which they are called by in the Japanese version btw.
 
We need SOMETHING!
Fans are going ABSOLUTELY CRAZY over this!
I mean, we have no Idea what's going to happen next... Best case scenario is that FUNi beefs up their security (by maybe adding some encryption software... or naming the files different at least...) and we get the Simulcast back before the month is out.

Worst case scenario is... Toei is Pissed... so pissed that they yank the license from FUNi entirely... IE no more DVRAB... at all...
This is the one that's got a LOT of us afraid, as Toei aren't beyond acting like a 5 year old with a toy truck.

Well, supposedly Funimation has also dubbed 196-206, but Australia chose to stop at the end of Skypeia instead of dealing with G8.



The Funimation dub has aired up to episode 195 in Australia, with the possibility of the following filler arc having already been dubbed as well.

So yes, they're well past 171.
 
From what I'm hearing, the file was publically available. All one had to do was change a previous URL for an episode to 403 and bam, it popped up.

So, seemingly it was FUNimation's fault for not keeping the file private, something that happened last week with 392, I hear.


But if I'm wrong or am violating a rule with this post, go ahead and remove it team!
