years ago, but wasn't diagnosed ? i was struck in the back by a pick up trucks mirror and was told that i only had minor rib problems, well a year later i started having major flank and kidney pain in the back..same area as being struck...and just in the past 18 months my pain and sickness has progressively gotten worse with me having major back surgery to include screws, a rod and a steel plate...can't work having major problems with walking, sleeping, there is a chance that i will be permantley disabled because of this issue, however at the time the insurance company offered me $2k for the pain and suffering as a result of diagnosed rib issue and now i have all these medical problems...what are my chances that the hospital is at fault for the mishap and can i seek punitive damages now for lost wages and my permant disability. I used to make upwards to $80k per year and now I get nothing because disability is fighting me...once they decide i will get $170.00 per week to live on and support my family of 4..i could lose my home, my family...i have totaled a brand new car because of the sickness that i had during the past 18months and now drive a 11 year old car when I am allowed to drive which is no more than 10 miles by myself...any suggestions...
