My story is complex but the issue I am having is wether or not to brawl and tough this out in court or sign away my rights to BOTH my kids to 2 different grandparents?
Both me and the father i am battling custody for, for my daughter with him are Jobless because he has assault and battery with intimidation of a witness charges.
I am also homeless and am TRYING to get a job to get a house and my kids back.
DCF or DSS is involved and my mom has my son and my Ex's Mom has my daughter.
I have a hearing coming up in NOV for the charges on my Ex and A court date in early DEC regarding my kids. I am worried the court is going to strip me of custody and have me never to be able to see my kids again because of my disposition and this has been going on since the END of MAy THIS YEAR. I had two court dates already and they are calling in the father of my son who has been an ABSENT T since I can remember.
So what do I do? Do I give custody 2 my mom and His mom with a writtten paper that says that when i get a house, steady income and can support my kids to be able to get them back w/o a fight and have the paper notorized WITH a witness? OR Do I tough this whole court thing out and risk losing my kids forever?
Because it is only through "the grapevine" that I was told that my rights to my kids would be taken from me in my DEC court case. And I am not sure what to do. PLEASE, IF U CAN HELP I WOULD GREATLY APPRECIATE IT!!!
