Hi, thinking of moving to HD pkg from my legacy Super 7 pkg as my present bill is almost the same as the new HD price. In reviewing the changes from the old to the new I have a few questions.
1 Is the price of $62 per month including the new $3 access fee or is that in addition?
2 In which pkg does ch 549 Phdis fall under. Could not find it on the Bell web site.
3 Has it been determined yet what the charge may be for the free preview channels currently showing, ie Nat Geo, Showcase, Score. I

62$ doesn't include the new 3$ acces fee. It includes Digital Standard (32$) + 5 themes (20$) + HD channels (10$). You had 7 theme packs now, so you might miss a few channels with that option. Rental cost of the receiver is not included at that price

PH Disney is part of familly 1

Nat Geo, Showcase and the Score will most probably be part of the HD package...the free preview is until December 18th, so let's worry about that in time

Here is a list of the old theme packs, and on which theme they have been moved to:

Networks
ABC
NBC
FOX
CBS
CityTV->Digital standard or R

W network that was in Lifestyle is now part of the Digital Standard or Partout au Canada fro French clients

Thanks for the info. Pay $3 more and get a few more HD channels or hold old pkg...decisions, decisions.......hehehhehe...thanks again..:)

Yea, went over the total list,... bottom line I will give up 3 or 4 SD channels that I do not watch that much for a few HD channels that are not over exciting....the $3 is not much but I hate giving Bell more $ when the service over the last few years is going down ..ie..compression, audio drops etc..

I taught that all the clients, including Legacy clients have been raised of 3$, are you telling that it's not the case?

No, my bill, just received it end of Jan 2008 breaks out this way...I have Super 7 plus HD incl east and West networks....$56.97,... system charge, $5.99,.. had that since last year and this month because I added a 6100 HD receiver I was charged $4.99. Called but was told they could not drop it. That call is another story.. very frustrating hehehee....total tv before tax...$61.96, with tax, $70.02. ..:(

To pass on some info to others, I was on old super 7 pkg, have 5 receivers. Got 50% off any package I wanted for 6 months, no contract, and was told to call back in 6 months. Finally Bell is offering smthg to long time subs. mmmm...could it be to keep customers and revenue until the big buy out?..

This is not an offer that anybody could get...they made you a retention offer, probably because you mentionned that you wanted to cancel, or they felt you would

I agree, but if someone is not on contract they may be able to get a better pkg for 6 months and save some money. I went with a full pkg to try it out for a few months to see what the family may enjoy that we did not have before. I will probably drop to a lower pkg before my 6 months is up. I am just happy that Bell may be responding with a few incentives to long time subs...:)

Now how about all them old time subs with "The Works" lol. I believe they are still under $70 even with all the fees (before taxes).

No current package comes close...lol
