Leg still feels asleep.

I'd say at this point, it's been a little over 12 hours since I woke up with my leg asleep. It seems to happen often when sleeping, except this time of course. At the time where my leg would tingle and would eventually go back to normal. Except this time it didn't. It stayed numb to the touch. It still has feeling and if I were to poke it, would still cause pain. It just feels like a layer of my skin is dead or something, From what I can tell, no discoloration, no hot spots, no pain. I can't rule much out, but I don't really have much to go on either. One thing I do know is that last night I slept in an upright position, possibly Indian style. I know that sounds painful, but honestly it didn't hurt. I've had this happen once before in my foot, and it went away after about two weeks.

If anyone knows what causes this sort of thing, I would appreciate your feedback.

Well, your sleeping position could be the cause. When you sit/sleep with your legs crossed like that it limits circulation and cuts down on the blood supply to the rest of your leg-and the oxygen that it needs.

Another reason to have the numbeness is a compression of the nerves that run down to your feet. If you sit/ for long periods in a position that causes compression of the nerves you will have numbness also. Difficult to say when it will go away....
