Leg/hip pain

Just wondering if n e one has experienced something similar or wud hav an idea as to wats going on with me....

Over the past 2weeks iv experienced severe lower back pain, in which I wud hav thought it's compression. The past few days the pains eased from my back and I'm feeling a massive weakness in my left leg/hip area and a very obvious pain around this area.

Also I went swimming today and that has made the pain worse.

Big confused coz if it's compression is it likely to affect just one side?

Do you have any prior back problems or is this completely new to you? It certainly sounRAB like a nerve is being compressed on the left side which could be due to any nuraber of things including herniated disc, bulging disc, or a bone spur to name just a few. If things get much worse before you can get in to see your dr, go to the emergency room for help.
