Leg Extensions (Quadriceps Work-Out) = Faster Sprints?

Hi, I was wondering if I did many many leg extension work outs for my quadriceps, will it significantly affect my sprinting ability (in a good way). I'll also be doing squats with a few plates of 45lb's.
But mostly leg extensions.
