To start it off, check the fade on your radio. From there you'll have to check the back of the speakers. But I think it's something that has to do with fade because you're using a stock radio and everything is plugged in at one time, not wired up.

I own a 97 mitsubishi verada, with a stock standard stereo, the left hand speakers, front and back are no longer working, the weiring seems o be ok, any help on this would br great as it is very annoying listening to music and the radio with only oneside lol

check your fade and balance settings someone is messing with you but if not then check this out.

its not common for 2 speaker to go out at the same time..but i have an 03 nissan maxima with the bose audio system (stock) and when i play cd's and when im drivn and i hit a bump the whole left side goes out. but when im playing the fm radio works perfect... i took it to the dealer and the stereo was defective not being under warranty anymore they tried to get get me to replace it with a refurbish one... i was like ok how much 400 i lughed!!!! some radios are defective they are known to be workin in intermittent ( work and not working) i was mad! so i went to best buy and got a new mp3 pioneer installed for under 180 now the problem was gone... i suggest you go get a new stereo from best buy you can buy a nice one for under 150 installed... but thats most likely to be your best bet.. your radio is bad and not your speakers
