...missing and bodyparts damaged missing ? What legal action can I take?? I let the owner know about the damage and missing parts, he told me he would fix it. Its been a month and a half. Hasnt rectified the problem.

seems like you took it to a breakers yard ....send legal letter to them citizen advice will put you in the right direction

The first thing you need is some kind of evidence. Do you have anything in writing, photos witnesses that kind of thing? get an estimate for the repairs and let him know you'll be taking him to the small claims court. meanwhile tell anyone and everyone what a ***** he is.

Yep, as a user has already posted, Trading Standards are your best route. If they fail and providing the garage is a reasonable distance, i'd find his works van or personal car follow him home and every now and then deflate his tires. Won't solve your problem, but creates one for him...if you want to take it that far. If not, knock him out.

Punch him in the face, then put his head in the engine bay and repeatedly slam the bonnet up and down, then throw his little theiving ass on the floor and oscillate between the forward and reverse gear several times at high speed, then get out, kick him up the arse and take his car as compensation.....thats about all you can do legally in the uk...

You should follow these steps laid out by Trading standards.

My niece has just had to contact them today due to a similar problem with a garage, they were really helpful.
