Left a betta fish in untreated water for more than 12 hrs, what will happen to it?

My husband changed the water last night and I returned the fish to the bowl 1 hour later, thinking he had added the water conditioner already. Never talked after that about it until this morning, when he told me he had only changed the water without adding the conditioner. So more than 12 hrs later, we added the conditioner, fish is a little tired I would say and doesn't eat. I don't know what to expect and if it will live... Please, any help would be very much appreciated! The fish is alive but I don't know if it will live or we should head out to the store for a new one. Thanks in advance! Happy July 4th, everyone! well it should be fine as long as you make sure to add water conditioner next time. it dosnt work as well
