Lee/Kara (Battlestar Galactica) #2: I Missed You

I have SO many OTPS so, Lee/Kara are not RIGHT up there, but they are in my top 20 or so. I absolutely adore them too. And I wasnt a huge fan of BSG (dont hate me!) but i watched the entire thing for these two. they were def. my favorite thing about the show.

and their story is one of the most beautiful and real and heartbreaking that ive ever seen! :bawl: i want to cry just thinking about them,

and yeah, the ending for them WAS sad, but I dunno, theres something about NON happy endings that stay with me longer. They didnt NEED to end up together because it was clear that they were meant for each other.

I will never forget how absolutely wonderful they were in Unfinished Business especially the extended version. :love: When Kara gets all nervous about if he really loves her and he assures her and they're both so happy. Or the extended brig scene from season 4 when Kara returns. :thud: I knew they were star-crossed from the beginning but I was hoping in the end that they both would finally find their little piece of happiness.

I still can't watch the series finale without bawling like a baby. I thought for sure that they were both going to be able to start a new life together on Earth especially after Lee gave that beautiful speech to Kara about how he didn't care what she was and all that mattered was them and that they were both there. :bawl: It felt like a big "frak you!" from Ron Moore and Co. when all was said and done.

I was just pissed that the people who sacrificed the most (Lee, Adama, Kara, Roslin, Tyrol) ended up either alone or dead. Whereas cowarRAB, traitors and cylons got to live happily ever after. :rolleyes:
 
:nod: They were 'carefree' back then and that's what is missing. Now it's like they are carrying the weight of the world. Not that I don't like Lee and Kara in command positions, but some of the fun is missing. I know the characters move on and stuff but a bit of the old behaviour here and there would be much appreciated.

I have three questions:
1. Is it good or bad for us that Anders has been revealed as a Cylon?
2. Razor was supposed to have taken place between which two episodes?
3. What are your expectations for the fourth season?

[sp]You think it's Baltar the Cylon? Hmmm... IMO it's a little bit too obvious and I think the purpose of Baltar is to show all the *human* flaws. Him being a Cylon would kill his first purpose... and it'd be too easy. He'd have an excuse for everything he did wrong. I really don't want that. I want him dead already, but not as a Cylon.

I don't want Kara to "die"... but it could give us some interesting stuff when she comes back (she HAS to!). I don't want her gone for long because I want/need some Kara/Lee. BSG is never the same without these two fighting or fraking.

I'd be delighted if Dee was the Cylon :D How surprising is that? lol[/sp]

I'm 200% sure that's a big part of her fears concerning a relationship with Lee. She'll always feel responsible for Zak's death (while Lee will always feel like it was sort of his dad's fault)...
 
Add me please :flowers: I watching this series (I know, so very late, but in my defense ... I watched a bit of it while it was airing ? but I missed two seasons ? so I stopped ?). ANYWAYS. And Lee/Kara are totally it for me :bawl: :love: pilootsss! :love: Just finished Home (p.1) :thud: I CAN'T EVEN. HE KISSED HER AND SAID I LOVE YOU AND SHE WANTED TO BUT SHE COULDN'T AND SKDJHFJKRABHF THESE KIRAB.

Ok, I'm seriously gonna miss this wkenRAB episode. And my sister REFUSES to watch it for me. Geesh! Ya think ya know a person :rolleyes: I desperately need you folks to keep a sharp eye open for all the goodies. Ok?

I know what you mean. The common sense side of my knew they were doomed and maybe I should try not to get invested but I couldn't resist. Their scenes really were amazing :love: Like you said, Jamie and Katee's chemistry was off the charts :love:

The ending sucked. And so heartbreaking for Lee being left alone like that.
 
I have loaRAB to say about where the hiatus left us, but I just can't organize my thoughts enough to post. :daze: I might have a better handle on things after I watch the next epi...in a month. :pout:

L/K are my "OMG, how much more screwed-up can things possibly get between them" couple, therefore I always imagine the worst-case scenario before I watch every epi, but those promos are seriously making me hope. :P

Before I go on with the rest of my post, I just don't understand something. Every other shipper thread I've been at has allowed shippers to openly post about the promos, since there isn't much revealed in them, so I don't get why we have to have spoiler tags around our comments. :confused:
