I loved this joker, but i loved nicholson too. Ledger was such a hit or miss actor and he really nailed this character. I wouldnt say he was better than nicholson though, and i wouldnt say nicholson was better than ledger they were both as good in that character as they could be, neither was superior

There was one BIG problem with Ledger's Joker.

Ledger is dead, but they didn't kill the Joker character in the movie. Now I want him to turn up in a sequel, but that's not possible.

Not me... usually I always want to know more... but in this one it was so brilliantly executed that I didn't care.

I vote 100% for Ledger as the better character. Nicholson was great as well, don't get me wrong, just like the grittier new one better. And honestly, I've never been a huge fan of the Batman movies until Batman Begins, then this.

Saw it today, will see again on the big screen... superb movie.

i do want to say, however, that i think some people are giving ledger some of the credit due to the nolans for writing him. obviously ledger did an amazing job of making the joker real but some credit has to go to the nolans for writing just what the joker was supposed to do.

i was blown away by this joker.. he really is the king of villains.. he played the roll so fucking well.. not hokey like most villains when they play a roll.. "idiots guide to acting like a villain".. he did it right

too bad he cant come back to play him again
