LED Control on the Tungsten T3

Anyone out there know of a program that will allow the LED to continue to blink even after the handheld powers off (thus giving you a subtle reminder that you have missed an alarm ..........even if it is 5 hours later)?

There use to be a program for Palm OS 4 handhelds called "ALED" that did this exact thing.

Anyone know of something similar for OS 5?

Cheers,

Mike

There are some settings in the Sounds & Alerts section of Prefs. You need to open the Custom tab to see the options. The settings are pretty straight forward and easy to understand.

O.K. ..........yeah, but really, I'm looking for something that will "specifically" continue to flash the LED even after the handheld has gone to sleep. In other words, none of these settings allow for me to know that I have missed an alarm (other than the "reminder" but ................. here's my example:

I am at the beach, leave my handheld in the car, it has been a good three hours, my alarm has gone off two hours ago to remind me of something coming up tomorrow .............

Obviously I don't want my alarm reminding me for three hours but if there was an application (like there is for Palm OS 4.1) to keep the LED blinking after an alarm sounds, I would be notified by this even after returning to the car three hours later.

The settings in the pref's section is overly simplistic for me...... ;o)

If I remember correctly, you're using DateBk5. If you go to Preferences, Alarms, you can set alarms so they automatically repeat up to 100 times with a time period from one minute to 30 minutes. You can also set the alarms to flash the LED. Given the T3's battery life, you may find the battey near dead if you have the alarm repeating for a three hour period. You'll have to experiment ot get the right number of rpeats without killing your battery if you're not around.

Yep....

Using DateBk5.

Shame there isn't something for OS 5 like there was for 4 ("ALED") that allows the LED to continue blinking (even when the handheld is powered off) until the alarm is acknowledged.
