If you can make it through processing and the first week, you will be fine

(that's what my husband and every other marine has told me)

First and most important: keep your mouth shut, listen to what is said, obey the orders. Don't be a hero, keep your head down. Don't let fear enter your head. The DI's are training you to save your life while messing with your head. Don't take any more to bootcamp than you have to as it will all be sent home. The place where you can make a strip and make a difference is when you go to the shooting range. Your rifle is the most important thing you have take good care of it. It might be best to tell others not to write you in bootcamp unless its your congressman or senator. If you smoke quit, don't drink until you get to your duty station. Follow don't lead. Plenty of time for that latter.
