Leave her under the car dying?

then would you know that the law is constantly changing. and just because the books say something, doesnt necessarily mean that's how it is. you can argue all you want, thats just how it is

You're absolutely right, laws do change, but not as often or as you might think. However, Good Samaritan laws were never meant to cover the basis you're claiming they do, so without proof, I have to doubt your claims. Show me one state, one piece of evidence that Good Samaritan laws have been bastardized into covering what you claim and I will believe you. Until then, I will maintain that your 'knowledge' of these laws is based on nothing more than urban legend.

You claim to know this as a fact, but where did you get this information from? Did you hear it form a peer, or have you actually 'read the books,' as you put it? If it's the latter, then you should have no problem furnishing evidence that proves your claims.

The "laws" that you claime exist violate civil rights, and I seriously doubt they exist outside of hearsay and urban legend. Why would anyone make a law that forces a bystander to help another? Doesn't that seem just a bit unconstitutional to you?

Surely your conviction in this matter is due to some sort of valid proof, so let's see it. Lest we just write your utterings off as urban legend...

As another offer of proof to my claims, have a look at the very definition of Good Samaritan law. Now keep in mind that we're talking about American laws, being that we are both Americans.

Now, surely you can offer some form of proof more tangible than "I'm right because I say so."

i never said i was right, im not in a position to say something like that. also, you provide very good points, when in all actuality neither of us can say that this is this. different states have different laws, and those laws change-sometimes faster than others. all i meant to say was it was wrong for those girls to sit there and do nothing, thats it.

But there were other present who were clearly "helping". So what would be the point of just standing around when you can't bring anything more uselful to the table, so to speak? Surely that isn't wrong. If they were the only ones present, then that would be another matter.

Amen bro.

We each gotta do what we can to the best of our abilities. Don't worry about the fucking morons that think its a joke. Look inside yourself and find the power and energy to act.

True. What else can you do when the police and ambulance is already there? What else can you do? Nothing really, but if seeing this sight brings you NO sorrow, you're heartless. Not to say you are Piro, other people. I can understand people who walked by, showed remorse and then kept walking, I mean, they couldn't do anything to better the situation. What I can't understand are the people who kept walking and had no emotions towards the whole thing.

But, yes you're right. What else can you do when there's already help there? Nothing, except to be human and show some respect.

Older thread dude/tte. And please make your posts legible by using actuall words. '1's substitued for one is only saving you 2 charachters. That's just stupid.
