While its true that she didn't need an arranged co-ruler, she would need to find a mate in order to give birth to the next ruler of the pride. And yes, we are one. I loved that song.
I forgot about those two Disney movies. While they weren't my least favorites, both films are pretty close. Return of Jafar had pretty much a weak plot for a movie. If it was treated more like a set-up episode for the series, then it probably would have worked out a bit better. As for Lion King 1 1/2, it had some cute moments here and there, but it wasn't really necessary for the Lion King story. It basically gave Timon and Pumba even more centered spotlight than they did in the first two movies. I just didn't like how they were both apparently a major influence to ever important part of the movie. That just didn't click with me. I just never really pay much of any attention to that film when I think of the Lion King.
