GMAC gave me a payoff for one amount but when I went to trade it in they gave the dealership another about $2700 more...I have a paper statement that they sent me with the original payoff of amount owed. I called them and they told me that they give me a lower one (what I owe) and the dealership a higher one. Can they do this?????????? They are trying to charge more than I owe???
I actually spoke to GMAC myself. The lady told me that this is what they do take it or leave. I can not belive that they could charge them more because I am not personaly buying the car. I have a pinted payoff from them with the amount to pay my car off if I was going to buy it. Then when the sales man and myself spoke to them they told us that they will charge more because I'm trading it in.
