I am trying to learn how to embroider. I want to accomplish doing portraits with needle craft. I was wondering if any one happened to know of any good sites that that demonstrate embroidery pretty well. I've looked and haven't found much of anything good yet. I'm not looking for cross stitching (because that's all I happen to find) or nothing like that, more along the lines of something that can bring a lot of dimension to an embroidery, something where I can use thread to make it look as if the image I am embroidering is popping out at you....I'm having a hard time find sites that aren't about cross stitching. I know something is out there because I have seen actual work like this. Anyway, I'm just wondering if anyone has any good tutorial sites that they just so happened to have had bookmarked.
