Are you saying that you are having a bloody discharge through the incision? If so, make sure you get a hold of your doctor or another doctor right away - even if you have to talk to an on-call physician.
I had a laminectomy last summer and about a week later started having bloody drainage from the incision. It ended up that I had a massive hematoma from the surgery that was infected. I had another surgery to clean it out, then spent a week in the hospital with some very powerful antibiotics to fight the infection.
When I first talked to my surgeon's nurse, she asked me how much drainage there was - the size of a dime, or even the size of a quarter? I said no, it's about 2 inches by 5 inches every time I check! For the first several days it was red/pink, then it turned brown/yellow. I never had any fever.
In any case, if your incision is draining you either have an infection or can get an infection, so make sure you have a doctor look at it ASAP. If they try to ask you to wait a few days, I would suggest asking them to at least do a culture of the drainage now to determine if there is an infection instead of waiting. An infection in your spine can travel to your brain very easily, and it is easier to fight it in it's early stages instead of waiting.
