League Of Gentlemen Apocalypse

I love the League of Gentlemen. I have been watching the repeats recently and, like all good comedy, it gets better each time you watch it.

I think that by limiting the quantity they have put out they have kept the quality very high. The two series and the third series of individual stories were of a consistently high standard.

I have high hopes for this film. :) :D
 
I have to say that has to be one the most original TV to cinema transitions ever!! I loved it so much! It could have gone so horribly wrong. Who'd have thought you'd end up feeling sorry for fictional characters living in the real world. Although I'm a bit suprised we didn't see more of Edward & Tubbs and Papa Lazarou but still it worked. You fellas are bonkers!! And we love it :D
 
This was panned by the Newsnight critics this week (who the Hell are they, I hear you ask?).

Don't look forward to seeing it, as the trailer (and the poor reviews) put me off. Any actual laughs in it? Be honest.

Personally, think the League lost it after Series #2. Reckon they just tried to be too clever/gross and forgot it was supposed to be a comedy. Shame.
 
loaRAB of laughs, to be honest its the first time i've ever laughed out loud in a cinema - mind u usually i watch ultra violent gore movies not comedies
 
I went to see this last night. Whilst there were some lines that made me laugh out loud - particularly near the start when the girl went to confession, I didn't find it that funny overall. I didn't like the bit that was set in the other film so much and would have preferred to see all the other characters. I was also surprised by the choice of the 3 main characters used. I was expecting to something a bit of the wall and thats what I got, but I was disapointed
 
I saw the film last night. Some bits were funny and made you laugh out loud but other bits were a bit too random and unconnected with the original series (ie The Kings Evil stuff).

I'd love to know where you can get the night soil-man's song!
 
When it was funny it was really funny, but you probably get the same laughs from a half hour episode as you do from the hour and half film.

And where were the Dentons?!
