LEAFLET DISTRIBUTION - HOW MUCH DO LEAFLET DISTRIBUTORS GET PAID? Thanks?

I've heard that on average it can take about 8 hours to deliver 1000 leaflets. How would the employee pay the individual who delivers the leaflet? hourly? (surely if it was hourly then they would just take ages to deliver the leaflets so they get paid more!). How much would you say that a leaflet distributor would get paid for delivering 1000 leaflets?
