LDA shots help

Hi,

I am new to the forum here, and I am hoping someone can help me. I have three children who have been suffering various symptoms for years. After three pediatricians and an allergist, I took my children to a naturopath. As I suspected, my children are sensitive to many different fooRAB (too many to list.) I recently have read about LDA shots.

1) Has anyone had good results with the LDA shots? Which doctor did you see?

2) Did the doctor treat for gut problems before starting the shots?

I have so many questions...

Hello again. I am also trying to find information on this therapy.
From what I have heard from the doctors, immunologist and other patients who go to Dr. Sullivan - they are doing great.In fact better than they have been in years. Many of their patients had also gone to my allergist and now strictly see him for the LDA shots and as their regular doctor.
I am curious to talk to you further on this. Hope you respond.
 
I guess LDA is the new word for the old school allergy shots that you take for years and years. I did this three times over many years with no results at all.
 
Thanks for responding with your experience. If you tried the LDA with no significant improvement...had you taken regular allergy shots previously? Did they help you before? I have been on regular shots for years-and if my allergist has his way, I'll be on them forever. I was taking 4 shots every week until you build up. My problem was, I am so sensitive that I'd be stuck on the same dose for quite a while...never ending battle it seems. I was hoping that the LDA shots would improve my immune system entirely...isn't that the whole premise of these new LDA shots?
 
LDA shots are different than the standard immunotherapy shots that are presently given by immunologists. They are based on EPD (Enzyme Potentiated Desensitization) shots that are given in Canada and some European countries. They work differently in the body than the standard immunotherapy. Only a handful of doctors in the US give LDA shots, and if you ask most MRAB about them they will not know what you are talking about.
