Another thing you can try is lying in a recliner, it seems to help me a little more anyway. Or, you can even try a mattress genie, which is a blow-up pillow you put at the head of your bed. You lay on your bed and start the blow-up pump and it actually raises the head of your mattress. But again, you have to lay on it while putting in the air, otherwise your top mattress may slide down the bed. I got one before my spine surgery and even though I still had lots of pain, it certainly helped me more to be able to get out of bed.
