laying down the power on a V Twin

Ok i'm new to all this Ducati and V Twin stuff. Up till now i've run and R6 for my track tool, but i'm told that a with a V Twin you can get power on sooner and get a better drive out of the corners. Can anyone explain two me the major difference in laying down the power when cornering on a V Twin. I know it sounds daft but I really haven't a clue !!!!!

Cheers in Advance

I believe the more technical explaination has something to due with the power pulses created by the engine and crankshaft.

On on a simpler level, v-twins have a flater torque curve so you don't need to be at 12,000 rpm to have a good amount of kick.

A duc redlines at 10,000 or so. It reaches max hp and tourque at the same RPM your R6 starts to really get going. So, the power you get towards the top of your revs is available at off idle RPM's. It hits from the start rather than at the top. WHen you slow down for a corner, when you hit the throttle it has power at the lower RPM's your running and takes off.
