1. a person who represents himself is a fool
2. I do understand this, but i want to do this so when i do rep myself i have all the right to stop and ask to get private council

The case has gone for 1 whole year now, and my lawyer decided to withdraw for ethical reasons. So i feel i will get another court apointed lawyer, and i want a private. And he has to take the case where the other left off, allowing more pressure for him and since he is a court apointed, he wont spend 100% on my case like a private will..

NOte : I want to represent myself, and if i feel all the heat and get overwelmed i will ask the court to grant me to hire my own lawyer.
1. So if i get a court apointed, i cant get a private lawyer.
2. Or should i tell them today, i am going to get a private lawyer.

3. My mom will re-finance the house, to afford a lawyer

If you are asking if you can change your mind in the middle of a trial, and ask that the trial be recessed and the jury sent home until you can find a lawyer, the answer is no. No judge will do that. You can start to represent yourself but if you change your mind and want a continuance, the judge is likely to find you are just manipulating and will deny the continuance.

What? if you can afford to hire a private lawyer, the court will not stop you.

In fact, it's not even optional on your part. If you can afford your own representation, you are not entitled to a court appointed lawyer at all.

No matter what, you can substitute your own choice of lawyer any time you're willing to pay him.
