Hello. I am planning to take the LSAT and apply to several law schools, but I acknowledge that my gpa (2.8) will be a bit low for the schools I'm interested in. As a result, I acknowledge that I may end up at a school that is ranked fairly low. (I am going to shoot for a 165-170 on the LSAT and I'm going to apply to tier 2 & tier 3 schools, but I'm preparing for the possibility that I still may not be accepted at a tier 2).
To my credit, I am planning to focus on Insurance Defense after I obtain my degree, and I will have 9 years of experience in my field- 4 of which will be in claims. I will also have my Associate in Claims, Associate in Insurance Services, and Property/Casualty License.
Since I will be attempting to use my law degree in an area in which I've already developed a strong background and specification, do you feel I'll have success at finding a job?
Thanks in advance for your input.
