My father died 10 years ago and I never got any of his possessions after his death. Recently I found out tht my father got medals while he was in the milatary. I wanted to get the medals and other possessions of his, so that i have something to remember him by....so i am writing a letter to his family to petition info and the possessions of his and was wondering if there was a law, US or state of MI that would require them to give me some of his possessions... just to let you know, my parents never married, im 16 y/o, I have a half brother (no other siblings of his except a adapted daughter with his other spouse) and i have been estranged from my father side of the family since his death....TY
