Late Show with David Letterman (Part 2)

Congrats Barson. I'm still miles behind.

Just watched the final Tonight Show in full - he shouldn't have been pushed out by NBC - Conan's better than Leno in my opinion (but not as good as Dave of course).

For God's sake. "I may have to start watching Conan now". If I didn't disagree with using that horrible 'rolly-eyes' smiley, I'd have used it there.

He hasn't killed anyone. He has had consensual affairs with women, of above legal age, who work on his show. There's no evidence that he coerced anyone, or that's he's a sex pest. In fact, Stephanie (alleged to be one of the women concerned) is said to be mortified about the whole thing, and is obviously still on good terms with Dave as the affair ended in 2003 (before his son, Harry, was born) and she still works on the show.

It's nobody's business apart from Dave's and Regina's. It doesn't affect his ability to do his job in my opinion. It's not like he's Roman Polanski who raped a 13 year old and apparently has half of Hollywood calling for his release on the basis that it was a long time ago and he's made some good films.

If Letterman does lose his job over this, then it's an absolute disgrace, and those people who say they're off to watch Conan or Jay Leno instead - fine, do it! Your loss, frankly.

Hope this isnt too off topic but I watched 2 episodes of Conan from November on CNBC on Sat and I am not surprised he was ditched it was awful.

The monologue was amatuer, does he have autocue or carRAB like Dave because it looked like he was reading it for the first time. Jokes about Kirstie Alley being fat - yeah cutting edge comedy there

Anyhoo what are ratings like between the two I would hope Dave wipes the floor with Conan if that was representative of his show.

ps Mark, Larry Sanders was brilliant

Alsways thought he looked like a sex pest and it comes out he is one, using his position and power to shag interns, very disappointing.

And all those jokes about Clinton when he could have been talking about himself.

Without getting sentimental here, can I just wish all our members , old and new, a very merry Christmas and a FUN 2010:)
Now that's over with, heres the ONLY song you need this xmas-courtesy of the BIG Show:)

Back to you Dave...

Loved Dave laying into NBC. He and his scriptwriters must have been rubbing their hanRAB with glee over this one.
Dave very much at his sharpest form and loving every second of it.

Cool. Always good when Letterman gets a bit of British publicity.

I'm still hoping one of those new CBS channels pick up the show here, but it looks doubtful.

Got this image of gumby old Letterman huffing and puffing away on top of Stephanie and then finishing, rolling onto his back and her saying; "Thank you Mr Carnie."
