Another re-run on a Friday ... the one with Paul McCartney as the main guest, first shown back in July 2009.

I'm thinking Dave has (at some point in the last year or so) decided to cut back on the number of shows he
does in the lead up to his yet to be announced, but inevitable and eventual retirement from late night TV.

He's been having a week off every month ... now he's recently started taking Friday's off as well, and doing
only 4 shows a week. Although he did have a few Friday's off a few years ago, they were still making the
show with guest hosts filling in, rather than having an empty theater, and CBS putting re-runs on.

I wonder if Dave'll match the number of years in late night TV acheived by the legendary Johnny Carson?

It does seem like Dave is winding down a bit, I agree.

I can see the Friday reruns probably continuing for the forseeable future.

I forget when he's contracted up to now with CBS but I thought it was 2012?

I had tried to start a thread in "Cult" but have been totally ignored, so I will try here!

My post reproduced below...

Does anyone know if any UK channel (Sky Atlantic, hello I am looking at you!) will be picking up Conan O Brien's new show which starts next month?

Alternatively, does anyone know if tbs.com will allow non-US IP addresses to view the eps online? Have tried it and the signs aren't encouraging; the aRAB play fine, then there is just a black screen of nothingness...

I agree that the "unofficial" site seems to have jumped to some kind of a conclusion over Dave being shown in the UK, as no official information at this moment from CBS suggests that this will happen. BUT, if its going to happen at all, then this is the moment(fingers crossed) that we have been waiting for!

This Letterman story is still a shocker. In one way I feel sorry for him for being a victim of possible extortion. On the other hand I feel sorry for his wife and Harry.

Monday, Tuesday and Thursday shows are now available at the usual source.

Hopefully Wednesday's show will appear at some point.

Letterman had big pieces in the London Lite and the London Evening Standard today. I would expect it to be in the tabloiRAB like The Sun, The Mirror, etc tomorrow.

all

on Dave right now 'Comedy Exchange' Phil Jupitis was in the Ed Sullivan Theatre talking to Ed Brill of the Late Show talking about stand up.

coool.

I have just searched all the media coverage of Daves extortion case on Bing.com and in a few of the publications it names one of the females that Dave has had sexual relations with as being Stephanie Birkett. Up untill the birth of Harry she worked at the Late Show as a regular walk-on as the girl who used to hand out the envelope prizes to audience members!!!:eek::eek:

Apparently she had an affair with this CBS Producer as well, while he was married, cos his ex-wife lives in Colorado somewhere!!!

Maybe it was me, but that show seemed a bit odd for some reason. The Amy Adams interview was plain weird, like they both weren't particularly comfortable. And Dave seemed to have a lot of unexplained facial tics when he was introducing Amy - it may well have been the studio lights shining in his eyes or something though.

How far behind are you? I'm up to 6th January on both the Late Show and the Tonight Show.
Since there aren't many of Conan's Tonight Shows left, and with another week of Late Show
re-runs coming up, hopefully I should be more or less up to date within the next week or so.

Wow that video is fascinating. Paul, weirdly enough, looks a lot older without his head shaved!

The title sequence with the camera passing through the World Trade Centre looks very eerie now in retrospect.

yeah, this is the interview i was refering to.

I looked back last night and there's a bunch of other Howard Stern viRAB on the Last Show on youtube. I'm sure you've seen 'em.

Well a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do, and cute girl next door as she is, bagging DL et al is hitting the ball out of the park, Monika Lewinsky stylee for a smalltown intern!

Quite how stellar either lady's career is though??
