slightly off-topic here...
The Rudy Giulliani Story, TV movie, was on Movies 24 a couple of nights ago.
Starring James WooRAB as Giulliani.
A frequent guest on the LS when he was mayor, he famously, personally filled in a pothole on Broadway, the day after Dave pointed it out on the Show.
Well worth a look for any LS regular viewers:D

*On a personal note, I met Guilliani in person, at a book signing in Manchester a few years ago.

I told him "I've known who you are for ages now!"
He looked at me,
I said "I always see you on the Letterman show!!!"

He let out a big belly laugh and signed my book:D

not meaning to answer my own post here BUT,
pat and Kenny are 100 times more entertaining than Oprah ever will be!:D

did anyone ever write off for transcripts of the transcripts??
I always thought you'd either -
A) receive a signed photo of pat/kenny/Alan:confused:
or
B) CBS would just throw all the requests in the bin!

I think CBS (or Dave's company Worldwide Pants) have already lined up Craig Ferguson
to take over as host of the Late Show when Dave does eventually decide to leave.

Hopefully, it'll actually be Dave's decision to move on, and he isn't forced out.

The recently updated Late Late Show logo already looks a lot like the Late Show logo,
so it wouldn't need much alteration when Dave retires and (if) CF moves over to NYC.

(That's assuming they'll still use The Ed Sullivan Theater for the Late Show.)

With a week of Late Show re-runs coming up, it'd be a good chance for me to do some
catchup on the backlog of Late Shows currently residing on my MASSIIIIVE hard drive.

Except there is no backlog anymore. I finally completed my catchups over a week ago!

Love the pics Paul. I've got one with Rupert taken in exactly the same position! Did you ask him why we don't see much of him on the Late Show anymore?

Best of luck back in the US TVGirl319 - hope you stay on the thread, would be good to have a US-based Dave fan on here!

Dave on Twitter is one of the funniest things ever. If you check the Late Show's page (http://twitter.com/Late_show), you can see some of Dave's musings written while the show's on air. I love the fact he obviously hates it and can't see the point of it - cantakorous Dave = hilarious Dave!

The Kimmel interview was excellent, especially his mock outrage about the Superbowl ad ("we were about to drown him and you go and throw him a liferaft!"). I also thought Kirstie Alley was hilarious.

Looking forward to seeing Mindy Kaling on 'tonight's' show - she's written some of my favourite episodes of the US Office.
