Late Show with David Letterman (Part 2)

Mo 6/14: Helen Mirren, Colin Hanks
Tu 6/15: Devo
We 6/16: Diddy, Emeril Lagasse, Dirty Money
Th 6/17: Miley Cyrus, Rick Harrison

I'd read that the 2nd October was taped on Thursday for that week only (directly after Dave made his "confession") because it was Yom Kippur on the Monday, and they didn't want to do 2 shows in a week with no Paul and no Alan.

Glad about that - it's just not the same without Paul and Alan!

Funnily enough, I was thinking of Larry Sanders last night.
Theres an episode where Larry is being blackmailed by a woman he "met", and was claiming to be pregnant with Larrys baby.
Larry denied ever meeting the woman, but inadvertantly incriminated himself to his lawyer, when he accidentally included more details than he should have been aware of!
"...parking lot at DENNYS"
"I never mentioned DENNYS!"
"I'M SURE YOU did!":)

watching the 27th Oct show.

note when they show a clip from Goodfellas when the guy had his head in the vice and Paul shouts 'That's Morty' That's Morty' presumably referencing the sacking of Rob Morton from the show back in 1996!

hahah

It's been confirmed by NBC that he is indeed returning to the 11.30 slot. Conan has yet to agree to a deal...

I've yet to catch up with Letterman, did he crack any jokes about the whole NBC mess? :D Every other talkshow host seems to be taking great delight in it.

The problem with that is that 10pm is generally a one hour drama slot across all US networks, so a show starting at 10:30pm will have the disadvantage of starting in the middle of just about every other programme on the other networks at that time.
And Leno

Dave has been with his (now) wife since around 1986.
They only married this year.
I'm assuming the "relationships" took part whilst he is at CBS. (1993 -present day)
Not really a good sign for Daves "defence".

1. Stop being so ungrateful. Capping and uploading a show does take people time and effort.
2. Go on Filestube, search the episode name and main guest and you'll find it.

I can't see Wossy working in the US - if he thought compliance was bad in the UK, then the US would be a nightmare for him! Plus, I'm not sure if any Americans would understand him with that lisp! There's also the fact that his family are pretty settled in London, and he's a big family man so I can't see him uprooting to the US.

I'm hoping there's a Last Resort revival on Channel 4! That was the first time I'd heard of Letterman incidentally, as I read an interview with JR in Q Magazine, singing the praises of Dave, and saying he wanted The Last Resort to be like Late Night With Letterman (which was of course airing on NBC at the time).
