Paul, well done on getting tickets for the Thanksgiving show, I am very jealous you got to see the lovely Natalie Portman in the flesh

I was in San Francisco at the time, so I managed to watch the show 'as live' (well, as good as!). It made such a nice change to switch on the TV and watch Dave. Also agree that Adam Lambert was surprisingly good.
For those who were wondering, I read that Dave always invited the staff's families to the Worldwide Pants Thanksgiving Party which they'd hold after the show recorded (where the old footage of Dave dressed as a Pilgram comes from). They'd be able to watch the Macy's Parade from the offices on Broadway and 53rd. However, because Broadway is now pedestrianised and the route had to be changed, it no longer goes past the ES Theatre, so there was no party and no show.
The Mininova thing is worrying - however, as long as the internet is alive we will see get torrents (no matter what Lord Mandelson tries to do) so I'm sure we'll still get our Dave fix.
LB still works for me incidentally, it's where I get Colbert from.
Also, interesting to read that Chris Evans is a big Letterman fan. This is a long shot I know, but there are a fair few UK celebrities who are Dave fans - obviously Ricky Gervais, but also Harry Hill, Steve Wright, Danny Baker and Jonathan Ross. I wonder if it would be worth getting in contact with them to show them the petition and the campaign to get the Late Show back on UK TV. If people like Chris Evans (especially with his profile being very high right now, with the R2 Breakfast Show coming up) were supporting it, then surely one broadcaster would have to take notice.
