Have you heard High Contrast's fabriclive mix? It's awesome. Fancy a trade on the High Contrast?

I have a couple of Photek tracks on various mix's but they didn't blow me away.

Portishead - Third

This is quite literally the best album I've downloaded in a very long time.

Mogwai - Rock Action

For some reason I never got around to getting this album, but it's already challenging Happy Songs for Happy People as my favorite from them.

Primal Scream - XTRMNTR

I liked it, but they still haven't blown me out of the water.

Can - Tago Mago

It didn't wow me after the first listen, but I'll give it a few more listens before I pass judgment.

Couldnt help myself today on the way back from watching the footie

Nirvana - Travelling on a Cloud

Marvellously psychedelic by this English duo from the sixties, Kurt must have been a fan.

Country Joe & The Fish - The Collected 1965 to 1970

Bought on a whim because the band looked quite trendy on the front cover, their stuff is kinda Bluesy and kinda trippy, good stuff

Stereolab & Nurse With Wound - Simple Headphone Mind

I can't even begin to imagine what a collaboration between a pure noise band like Nurse With Wound and a band with melodic pop sensibilities like Stereolab would sound like but i'm looking forward to finding out.

Medium Medium - The Glitterhouse

More funk influenced post punk from a band who I believe were tipped for great things at one time , until Gang Of Four released Entertainment a couple of months later & stole all their thunder. This is also a lot easier on the ear than Entertainment as well , I prefer it.

Marquis De Sade - Dantzig Twist

Apparently the French media used to call Joy Division "England's answer to Marquis Du Sade"
We shall see.

Ten Bright Spikes - Astro Stukas

A band who seemingly can't decide if they want to rip off Sonic Youth's Dirty or REM's Murmer. Either way it's pretty good and a lot better than plenty of other more well known 'alternative' rock banRAB that were around in the early 90s when this was released.

NICE PICK!!

The last albums I bought were Vinyl LPs of Pink Floyd's "Meddle" and "Animals". They were for my girlfriend's birthday.

The last album I bought for me was "Crack the Skye" by Mastodon.

And the last albums that were bought for me were The Clash's debut self-title and Doug Stanhope's "Sicko".

I have been desperate to find some music similar to my beloved Fat Freddy's Drop and after some extreme searching found these:

NZ band again. Moments of greatness but many banal moments too. Need to make their mind as to whether they want to be A dub/reggae band or vontinue with a soulful approach to their sound.

I could find no bigger pic so that means it's not that popular? great that's how I like it! After only two listens this is already becoming a smokey sensual love in blend of Reggae, Soul, Funk and cool vibes that gentlemen and ladies of a certain maturity can only enjoy ! It's shagging music. Simple as that.
