Something new to listen to then.. why not shouldn't be complete crap, catchy over played, and re-done songs are always fun to listen to.. haha.

wow! i think i just talked about ever 2nd or 3rd album by every new band in the past 20 years.

It's enjoyable, it doesn't grab you right away but I think it will grow on me. Plus I have barely began to appreciate it lyrically which is important with albums like this.

Love the cover though! But I can tell it's not something I would be into. The music, that is.

Few more things since yesterday...

It's funny how banRAB can grow on you. I bought Unwound's A Single History compilation probably 6 years ago, but never really got into it. I thought it was mostly sloppy with a few nice moments. I shelved it. Then last year or earlier this year I checked out New Plastic Ideas and it has been growing on me with each listen. I've also played Leaves Turn Inside You a few times but haven't really gotten into that style. Having gone in a more post-rock direction with that release, it's more of a grower if anything. So anyway I'm finally getting around to picking up some of their older albums, closer in style to New Plastic Ideas. Playing Fake Train right now for the first time and I'm really liking it.

i just want to kill all of them. Especially the girl on the right :bringit: I f*cking just hope it's ironic

These are albums that aren't sh*t by REAL (probably hairy) men from the 1970's with a sense of humour. Both are musical outsiders I think. Props to Jackhammer for the links

Ivor Cutler was Scottish and played a little accordion thing and wrote plenty of classic folk ditties like 'I Believe In Bugs', the sort of music you could have an ale to at a village fete. He was a top-class poet and storyteller above all and a very funny man, his albums are just collages of his rustic wisdom

Robert Wyatt was the drummer/singer/founder of Soft Machine for their first four classic albums and he left before they disappeared up their own arses; he subsequently got pissed and fell out of a hotel window leaving him paralysed from the waist down. This is his first of several acclaimed solo albums from the 70's and was coincidentally recorded with his mate Mr. Cutler. There are 6 tracks which I would classify as abstract underwater-prog-jazz. A bit weird

been getting more interested in hip hop groups from the Pacific Northwest (where I'm originally from). Awesome EP, makes me wish i paid more attention when I lived closer and could've actually seen some of these acts :(

I am definitely a megadeth fan and would like to see dt live as well!!!Any chance at seeing megadeth would be great for me, although I would've preferred to see the Marty Friedman times!!!Megadeth and dt are, unfortunately, still on my "waiting list" for concerts!!!
For "last year" concerts that I remeraber seeing, here ya are:
1.Ted Nugent-No opening banRAB, just a very long and incredible Ted Nugent performance all night long!!!A great night seeing Ted Nugent play so many great tunes from every part of his career and maybe even every album!!!Just imagine the best performance that you could ever see from Ted Nugent during any part of his career or age and it still wouldn't add up to how great he performed that long, wonderful night!!!This guy will be 90 years old and still kickin' all of the c ocky "rookies" as ses, he's just that good!!!
2.Opeth-Another amazing night that exceeded my expectations/dreams!!!I remeraber there were some opening banRAB and the only name I clearly remeraber right now was Nevermore.Nevermore was a pretty good band that opened up well for Opeth!!!They aren't a band that I'd want to buy an album from at this time, but they weren't just another basic, annoying opener, so cheers to that!!! The show was all about Opeth though!!!I mean, this band was absolutely incredible live!!!There songs were played with all of their dark, heavy and mysterious souls in a way that took them to another level further than they originally sound(ed) on the albums!!!I got chills from a great performance that they pulled off without a hitch that I feel every time I put their recorRAB back on to play...
...That concert along with Ted Nugent's were some of the best anyone could ever imagine to see and I'm very glad of that!!!
I could probally say that each ticket was worth the price of the other tickets price being corabined and multiplied times 2!!!Honestly, they both were that good!!!

In not so long I'm going to be seeing Sevendust for atleast the 2nd or 3rd time!!!They always put on incredible, intense shows and they are a band that is really worth seeing time and time again!!!I'm especially interested in seeing them (Sevendust) now because they replaced one of the guitarists and did an album with him that is quite great...
...The change of person will be another cool thing to notice in a way that it really is kind of like seeing a new band live again!!!Plus, I just thought of this:
It will be my first concert of the year!!!Have a few drinks, listen to some great music at a concert, party and go home to continue to party...
...SounRAB like a good night to me, man!!!;)

Classic songs being covered by great modern banRAB like Beck covering Bob Dylans Leopard Skin Pill Box Hat, Hot Chip covering Joy Division's Transmission, Yeah Yeah Yeahs covering Ramones Shenna is a Punk Rock, and Franz Ferdinand covering Blondie's call Me. How could you not want this also the money goes to a good cause.
