Sweet. The long track was a little meandering, but there are some really good songs on here. I had "Golf Girl" stuck in my head for a while.

A fusion record I actually like. The drumming is intense.

Lemme know what you think of that COC album CA, been meaning to check it out for a while now.

Oh and I bought RHCP self-titled today for $7. I now hope they break up so the value of the early albums goes skyward:p:

Sons of Otis - SpaceJuraboFudge
Volt - Rorhat
Naked City - Torture Garden
YOB - The Illusion of Motion

YOB is heavy as sin, I actually can't get into this one just yet, I don't really like the vocals. Naked City is like Fantomas meets Mr Bungle, except I'd call it a better outcome than both, really awesome stuff. Volt is again heavy as sin, not too bad so far, and Sons Of Otis is some really really good hook laden stoner...stuff.

That's me busy for a while!

Same here I first listened to it before I went to sleep (while lying in bed), I didnt think much of it until my 2nd listening. I thought Pigs on the Wing 1&2 sounded like the poor man's version of Wish You Here mixed in with some elements from the Wall (particularly Good Bye Cruel World), and Dogs was the slow cousin of Shine on You crazy Diamond. But now I see that it's all good.

Been meaning to get into Melt Banana at some point....hmnz

Gazpacho - Tick Tock (2009)

Interesting Norwegian prog. album that seems to be getting a lot of attention recently. Cross Talk Talk, Radiohead and Marillion (with a bit of Floyd)together and you'll have an idea at what these guys are like. It's currently at 9th place or so on the Best Prog. Albums of All Time list on progarchives.com (which is unprecedented considering how new this release is), so I'd highly recommend everyone to atleast give it one listen or two.

Brian Eno & David Byrne - My Life in the Bush of Ghosts (1981)

Love it love it love it! Some real studio wizardry (well, it is Eno and Byrne working together after all...) went into this, and I can't even imagine how many minRAB it blew two decades back when this collaborative effort hit the shelves.

Jon & Vangelis - Private Collection (1983)

I love Vangelis's style when it comes to electronica/New Age, and I love Jon Anderson's vocals, and this is their best album together. Hence, I had to dl it at some point. A particular highlight here is the gorgeous 23-minute long Horizon, corabining these two guys's respective approaches to music perfectly into a singular, defining statement to the world. Good stuff!
