Downloaded some stuff by Anal Cunt, one was Picnic of Love, that was okay, just a heap of acoustic love music. Then, thinking something was wrong as they were labelled grindcore/noise, I downloaded Defenders of the Hate. It completely ripped my ears off. I didn't like it, but holy crap, what a huge contrast.

Went on a spree thanks to rab....

The Zorabies - Odessey and Oracle
13th Floor Elevators - The SounRAB of..
XTC - English Settlement
Pere Ubu - Modern Dance
Big Black - Songs About ****ing
The Damned - Machine Gun Etiquette
Titus Andronicus - The Airing of Grievances
Black Lips - Good Bad Not Evil

The Feelies - Crazy Rhythms
Mr. Bungle - California
Mahavishnu Orchestra - The Inner Mountain Flame
The Smiths - The Queen is Dead and Meat is Murder
Olivia Tremor Control - Dusk at Cubist Castle

I've been meaning to check out Sieges Even. Riverside is quite a cool band but I prefer Second Life Syndrome to Out of Myself. Both are good though. The Arcade Fire - Funeral is a superb album and I'll be seeing them live in a few days. Stupid Dream is another great PT album and Voyage 34 is interesting.

Michael Hoenig - Departure From the Northern Wasteland
Amongst other movie/tv soundtracks, this guy wrote the soundtracks for Baldur's Gate 1 and 2 (computer games) which were stellar to the point that I find myself listening to them outside the game. Apparently he was a music magazine editor during the early prog days, toured with Tangerine Dream and was a meraber of Agitation Free. So I decided to get some of his solo stuff.

Necromantia - Ancient Pride
I've been listening to very little metal lately, but I decided to get this album as I've heard this band is good, and they use a bassist instead of a rhythm guitarist (I play bass).

Sunny Day Real Estate - The Rising Tide
I quite like Diary, so I thought I'd get more.

New Order - Substance
Somehow, despite loving Joy Division, I've never checked New Order out.

On vinyl:

Great album. I'm glad to finally have it on vinyl.

Tom Waits - Swordfishtrorabones
Love this one as well. Tom Waits is a mad man.

Stratosfear-1b.jpg

Tangerine Dream - Stratosfear
I picked up this one because of all the good reviews from rab, and I'm so pleased with it. Thanks guys.
