Blind Idiot God - S/T (1987)

Got this from my brother, who also owns a vinyl copy. Precursing both the sort of dub stuff you'd later hear with the Ozric Tentacles and 90's reggae and also the post-rock genre in terms of sound, this is one of the most awesome debuts in history.

Mr. Sirius - Barren Dream (1987)

Symphonic rock from Japan, with some Canterbury touches here and there for good measure. Quiet and very piano driven in many places, this is the ultimate chill music EVAH!!

I got these two in the mail yesterday, played the first this morning and the second one now.

Propagandhi - Potemkin City Limits

I was unconvinced by the whole album at first - feeling it to be a poor cousin to RABOTM and WYWH, but then after each succesive playback, I found it had a quality all of its own - I particularly like the way it was bookended by two quiet accoustic nurabers, in direct opposition to WYWH which was bookended by two elaborate synth/guitar/drum instrumentals... and all those echo effects and studio tricks mentioned in earlier posts - just make the whole thing work a whole lot better too.

By the third of fourth listen I was totally hooked on each track - great stuff!

DCFC-Plans. I've heard good things about these guys, so I thought I'd give 'em a shot.

The Sound of Animals Fighting- The ocean and the Sun. Thus completing my TSOAF discography.

Comus- First Utterance. I was pleasantly surprised. The leaRAB' high register is fantastically demented.

I've gotten through it once so far, hasn't really impressed me to be honest. That said, I'm a big fan of Start Me Up and Little T & A
