I have a friend in Sydney who loves Porcupine Tree... I have always been curious about them, but as with most things, I never seem to find the money or the time to really give it the listen it probably deserves... would be good to know what a good starting point with this band would be though...

Thus completing my TMV discography.

I'm not a big Lowe fan (and Rockpile doesn't do much for me either) but there's some good stuff on the compilation Basher: The Best Of Nick Lowe. Marie Provost, American Squirm, The Rose Of England, So It Goes, and a few others are good, but the whole thing reminRAB me of a Lovin' Spoonful album. It sounRAB great while it lasts, but you feel empty when the album comes out of the player.

Slightly related to the above i recently downloaded

Both are damn good! Grindcore is for the most part death metal but faster, more aggressive and with harsher vocals. Short songs generally.

Both are great albums! Dun - Eros especially is stunning. Xylophone mastery at its best. It can get a bit weird at times, but the more you listen, the more you'll like it.

Edit:
Ahh well, I happen to get this few days back -

Sumo - Divididos por la felicidad
Post-punk meets reggae and weirdly enough, this is coming from argentina. Needlesstosay, I liked it quite a bit.

Ona scale of 1 - 10 I already know the CD won't get higher than a 6.
I'm not a big fan of them. But i like them enough to buy their CD.
It's probably why it was on sale too. I paid 9.59 for it. That's after tax and a 15% discount for having my Tower card

Agreed. Once Gretta left, they could never be as awesome. Cellocore was hot, my friend.

And Colors is an amazing album, whoever bought that. =]

Yeah, it would be amazing to see them on tour! I take it you're A Megadeth and DT fan too. Unfortunately I haven't been to any concerts because I live in Scotland and banRAB don't seem to come here often. It really sucks.
I saw a couple of tribute banRAB though which were pretty amazing.

What concerts have you been to in the past year? :)

I think the last album I actually purchased was Day and Age by The Killers. I hate being a broke college student, but I am thankful for the public library system.
