My kind of stuff.

Radiohead-Ok-Computer-87768.jpg

I finally got around to it. I'm liking it a great deal, much better than In Rainbows.

I was surprised how familiar Paranoid Android was to me, I never realised it was a Radiohead song.

Kalas - S/T
- Have only heard the first few songs, great band so far, a big heaRAB up for fans of Matt Pike.

Tummler - Queen To Bishop VI
- Great album, really really enjoyable thus earning itself a thread on this site:)

Thrones - Sperm Whale
- Joe Preston mucks about with his solo project, Thrones, some dark brooding noises with big bass, I'm a bit undecided on it, but it's adventurous none the less.

And somewhere in the mail I should be receiving soon are Butthole Surfers' 'Wierd Revolution', and Jesus & Mary Chain's 'DarklanRAB'

Bob Dylan - Under the Red Sky

I am not too impressed with it. It was apparently made for his daughter when she was young so there are some very childish songs. I am a big Dylan fan, but I say stay away. :nono:

Meph and Jack: nice grabs there! :tramp:

Here's a few of mine I got recently-

B.B. King - Indianola Mississippi SeeRAB (1970)

Thought I prepared myself adequately, but still blew my mind at just how sharp this material is. B.B. King may be overrated in some aspects, but I think this album deserves its classic status in the annals of blues-fusion, and I'm verrrry glad I got it!

ELP - Emerson, Lake & Palmer (1970)

Yes, this trio of virtuosos gave prog. rock a bad name six years down the line from here, but that doesn't change the fact this is one fuckin' hell of a debut. More cohesive and less borabastic than you'd expect, I can see how this album, along with In the Court of the Crimson King and Fragile, turned progressive rock into a worldwide phenomenon for the first half the decade, and recommended to people who want a good starting place to get into this band (and classic prog. in general).

Sunday All Over The World - Kneeling at the Shrine (1991)

It's hard to take offense to King Crimson guitarist Robert Fripp when he's involved in neat little studio projects like this, especially with his angelic sounding wife Toyah Wilcox on vocals. Very difficult to categorize though; Is it art-rock? Prog-pop? Freak folk? Who knows! Every track here is something absolutely awesome, and definitely worth a look for those seeking the experimental side of pop music.
