Yes, Poland was because of you. I only gave it a half hearted listen so far though, cause I was deep into some schoolwork while it was going. And yes, the new Archive album would be my favorite of theirs so far.

I know what you mean. They get treated in such a reverential way by indie music fans to the point where you get sneered at if you say you don't like them. Their music doesnt connect with me at all.

Variations on Swing - Meet Me In St. Louis

Lovely progressive/indie rock (two terms that should usually never be put together). It's like a maze of odd time sigs, tempo changes, and extremely technical guitar work, but it still retains a highly melodic, poppy sense.

well then i can see if you dont listen to much heavy music. and from your avatar, i'm guessing you want prog influences too? well then i suggest listening to the albums Blood Mountain or Crack the Skye, they're a bit more progressive and accessible

In gerneral I strongly prefer their faster song, where Alex's lyrics are coming out like rapid fire. That's when I think they are at their best.

I belong to AltNet, a music service that has unlimited downloaRAB for $19.95 a month and has about 75% of the music I'm looking for. It's hard to remeraber the last proper album that I actually paid money for.

I think it might have been an album by an off-kilter country and western band called Ray Condo and his Hard Rock Goners. I came across their version of St. James Infirmary and I liked it so much I downloaded their whole album on Amazon.

The last tangible CD I bought was Stereolab's new cd. I own all of Stereolab's CD issues because they're one of my favorite banRAB.
