Heh that's funny he's been yelling at me to listen to Drukqs all day, but I can't put down the Kraftwerk album (You know it's great when Will Forte's identical twin is on the cover). Thanks for the recommendations.
Of Whales And Woe- Les Claypool
Atom Heart Mother- Pink Floyd
In The Court Of The Crimson King- King Crimson
Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not- Arctic Monkeys
And if I'm lucky I could end up with original copies of Sleep's Jerusalem for $10, Captain Beefheart's Trout Mask for $2-3 and his Spotlight Kid album for another couple of dollars
Actually well-done smooth jazz with lots of funk/R&B references to keep things interesting. Might be a bit too polished for some people, but its very relaxing stuff.
Nick Drake - Pink Moon
This doesn't really require an explanation...its ******* Nick Drake!!
Universal Totem Orchestra - Rituale Alieno
Zeuhl from Italy with strong ties to space rock and classical traditions. Gorgeous and operatic at times while heavy and dark in other moments, I'm enjoying every minute of it with great mirth.
