Yeeeah boi.

Good, now go get and listen to R before you accidentally rate Songs for the Deaf as highly as everyone else.

You listen to Fu Manchu right? You should check out Kyuss -- Josh Homme's first act. They were among the first desert rockers.

I'm really getting into myspace as a way of discovering new music and finding some things that I surprise myself by really liking, for instance I find myself switching from pure pop (Georgie Carter) to new singer songwriters (TD Lind) and electronica from America (Charles Atlas) it's certainly broadening my tastes...

Definitely. I remeraber loving them when I was a kid, I've only just got 'round to getting their stuff myself. Heard good worRAB about In Your Gun - the one with Shot Shot on it isn't it? That's in the old to-obtain list for sure.

Fleet Foxes self titled Debut album. Beautiful and very differerent sounding!

I would post the picture of the CD but I gotta wait until I post a bit more here :)

Psychadelic SounRAB of the 13th Floor Elevators

Havent listened to this yet much, "You're Gonna Miss Me" is classic however.

The Fall:
Hex Enduction Hour

...Wow. I had a compilation of The Falls that got me into them, I picked up "Saving Grace", which is kind of overrated and tough to listen to (although I like it), but this is great. This is the album I wanted to hear from The Fall, one that I can listen to front to back without too many low points.

The Soft Boys
Underwater Moonlight

This is really great as well, I've known "I Wanna to Destoy You" for a while, and to tell you the truth Ive been meaning to pick this up for a year-and-a-half or so. Im really glad I did, one of those albums with just enough songs you like on the first listen to make you put it on again, and each listen uncovers another track you really like. I think "Tonight" is the best song on here. They have really excellent backup vocals, showcased wonderfully in "Tonight". This may just compel me to delve into Robyn Hitch****'s solo work.

Jay Reatard
Blood Visions
I've been on a huge Jay Reatard kick lately, and this completes his discography for me, his first album. It might be my favorite, this is the record I always wanted The Adverts to make. He sounRAB just like them, only faster and the melodies are stronger. He even covers their song "We Who Wait", and you can really hear the similarities. "Fading All Away" is one of the best songs I've heard all year. Not longwinded either, only 1/2 hour of music over 15 tracks, and if there's one thing I love, its short songs. Its the only thing I like better than long songs.
