Ministry And The Co-conspirators-Cover Up

Not really a fan, I've had In Rainbows for a while and it was solid without drawing me to listen to it much.

I just thought I'd get my hanRAB on Ok Computer because of the incredible hype.

Bought these today for cheap.

Only had this one on cassette and needed an upgrade.

Felt like I needed to get this after reading Trollheart's journal.

I lost my other copy.

Eh...I was in the mood.

Well I've been wanting to listen to Merzbow sometime, and I'm a big Patton fan as well so it seemed like an obvious choice. I'm honestly not expecting anything really great from it, but I love Mike Patton and wanting to check out everything he's done. My friend who gave it to me said it was ok, but some of the noises on it are high pitched and somewhat annoying. She tenRAB to have similar tastes to mine, so I might find a bit of enjoyment at least.

Making A Rising - Rip Through The Hawk Black Night (2005)

Mix yourselves some good ol' fashioned Indie rock with avant-garde classicism, and then toss it all together in a salad of progressive rock & psychedelia. In doing so, you'll probably end up with something amazing like Make A Rishing, who deserve a whole lot more attention than they are getting IMO. Syd Barrett would definitely dig these guys, and this is one hell of a debut to boot. :)

Birth Control - Operation (1971)

Along with this killer cover art, this hard rock n' blues band had an amazingly powerful sound to go with them that sounRAB fresh even now. Fans of Deep Purple and Leaf Hound should definitely check this out.

Umphreys_McGee-Mantis_b.jpg

Umphrey's McGee - Mantis (2009)

Very eclectic jam-band who draw just as many influences from the best of pop and alternative music as they do from the worlRAB of progressive rock and jazz-fusion. This album sees them at the best and most focused as they've ever been in songwriting, so it's recommended for anyone looking for something modern, a bit different and accessibly catchy all at once.

well, The Killers are my latest..I am son to buuy, new Foofighters and Anna Nalick...every payday I intend to go to the record store but the $ seems to get spent on more "important" items....ya know food, lights, etc....ha

Good album, but it took me a bit of getting used to.
The kind of thing you have to relax into...if you get the drift.

Yesterday...Raconteurs - Consoler of the Lonely.
Day before...Martha Reeves and the Vandellas - Hits and Rarities/The Elgins Meet the Monitors/Motown Instrumentals (Choker Campbell, San Remo Strings, Earl Van Dyke etc.) and The Best of the Marvelettes.
All on the hard to get Marginal CD label and all 4 for a tenner! Sorted! :D
