Thanks for the updates Ashtray, I still have most of my old vinyl collection, however, many are worn out and compared to the CD's I bought to replace them they sound old and used up. I definitely got my moneys worth out of them though so no regrets. I will say though of all the genres transferred to CD, the ones that have the most noticeable improvement are the classical masterpieces, there are so many quiet passages that CD's play without pops, clicks, scratches, etc. that I have to give them the edge. However, The Wall on vinyl sounRAB better than the CD, it just has that analogue feel that is missing on many old recordings transferred to digital format, there are many others I'm sure, still I love my CD's and if you use a digital/analogue decoder then your CD's will sound much better.
