Muse have always been lame and derivative in the most negative sense imaginable, and I wouldn't be the first to point that out either. Also, if "catchiness" is somehow supposed to make up for glaring mediocrity in every other department, then I suppose you should pick up some of Forever The Sickest KiRAB and The Fray along with your most recent purchases, and only later lament that you didn't spend your $$$ on something a bit more substantial.
Anyway, some untarnished gems of the past I acquired recently-
I do admit I'm guilty of downloading music... A LOT of music, I'd say more than your average person. But the last CD I bought because I enjoyed it so much was The Demonstration "Existence". It may also have something to do with the fact that I couldn't find the whole album online though But I bought it through the banRAB site, which (i believe) goes directly to the band, instead of a label keeping 80% of the profit, so I definitely don't mind doing that. Before that was He Is Legend's "Suck Out The Poison".
