Lars and The Real Girl

This is easily the most heart warming (yet, not cheesey) movie I've seen in AGES!

Ryan Gosling is a ridiculously good (and hot) actor.
His performance in "Lars . . ." is so believable. His supporting cast are great too.

Has anyone else seen this?!

Hiya Cybergirl ....and yes I've seen it.

To be honest, I really didn't know what to make of it and it's not on my best movie list.

However, that said, it was exactly how you described it in terms of being moving.

It's the type of movie where you really need to try and empathise (or sympathise...not sure which) with the main character. But that can be tough at times as it takes you into the realm of uncomfortableness and where you would rather not be.

I thought the acting was superb all round, but the subject matter wasn't to my taste at all..........but then again, the genre is classified as comedy, and I think that is where people like myself will be totally thrown as they sit their waiting to have a right bellylaugh.

It just never happens and on hinRABight, isn't meant to.

It was definitely the wrong classification for this film.

Finally saw this last night - had to wait til I came back to uni to find a cinema that was showing it.

I was not disappoined. Dragged slightly in sections, but this was made up for with ryan Gosling fanstastic performance.

I saw this on an overnight transatlantic film about two months ago and thought it was quite sweet, but then I fell asleep (both times, I tried to watch it going and coming back) but having said that, if it comes on the movie channel I shall definetly watch it again as I thought it seemed quite charming
