Lark Rise To Candleford Series 3

I don't think that is quite true. I know several people posted that they doubted it was really Julia, but when she proved it was so, I thought everyone was most welcoming and enjoyed her contributions.

However, what I think did happen is that anything derogatory said about Dorcas' character (especially after the JD debacle) was taken by some other posters (and perhaps even by Julia) to be the same as being derogatory about Julia.

Some people don't seem to understand the difference between a real life personality and a screen character. I hardly think that the real life Julia is a virginal postmistress with Victorian values!

I for one shall therefore continue to criticise Dorcas (if she neeRAB it) without ever meaning to criticise Julia - unless her acting becomes rubbish!

Dorcas can't not help young love bloom though can she. I agree she was thinking of times past between her and a certain young gentleman.

I also laughed at the one where Dorcas is ferreting around in the cupboard, yes for the same reason, such a gentleman isn't he, but also for continuity. If this is the one I'm thinking of, you can see Dorcas is already stood up, but look in the reflection of the cabinet, it shows her still scrambling to her feet. Daft what catches your attention isn't it?

Planning to watch Episode 9 tonight though.:):)

Great episode last night,so well acted and moving.

Sorry meant to ask is Pearl running way because Victoria Hamilton is/was pregnant. Thought there might be a bump under one of those dresses last week.

My boxed set of series 2 arrived this morning. I'm settled down watching that magical Christmas episode were Dorcas was going to spend Christmas alone but enRAB up with practically the whole town at her table!
I've already made copies and ut my precious set away.:D The extras on the disks are well worth the purchase.

Yay for a fourth series (thank you Angelheart) but ohh how I shall miss it when it's over.
It's the only programme that I stop everything for. Lights down, fire roaring and a glass of something to warm the cockles; whilst being transported to a world when the sun shines, even if there is a bracing chill. LRTC makes me cast away my worries and envelopes me into a spell-binding 60 minutes of escape.

Think I might just have to watch Sundays episode again!

Not tough at all that one VG, Fisher......I liked him right from the off, whereas Daniel still hasn't completely won me over yet.............however Sunday may change that..........Think Laura will choose Daniel tho:)

Very true, Suze -- it would probably set up more problems than it solved to have him mentioned.

I guess I need to give up on JD ever returning -- I think this episode probably closed the door on that.

At least Dorcas seems happy and content so far this series -- not tortured over something she can't have (Sir Tim) or wavering on the edge of love (JD). I do love to see all her motherly instincts come to the foreground and I think her relationship with Sidney is sweet to watch.

I could be wrong but I thought that in the gmtv interview they said that it was a storyline that was going to be playing over a couple of weeks?

If Lady Adelaide is pregnant, is the father Sir Tim or Donald Carter?!

I really hope that it is explored a bit more because whether Dorcas meant that there was something missing or not with Timothy, I think that it is quite a poor way to close the Dorcas/Tim storyline.

Did anyone else notice Twister's shoes, namely the beautiful soles, when he put his feet on the table?

Don't think he could afford such top class cobbling.

Evening everyone. So happy there will be a forth series :)

Thank you for letting us know Angelheart. I think its best to know as can enjoy the episode without hoping for a visit from a past character.
