Lark Rise To Candleford Series 3

Morning All,

Had a look at that forum SF and have to agree some of those mentioned are probably due for the chop. I have enjoyed Silent witness since they revamped it, but I think it's run it's course now, and much as I love Waking the Dead.......especially Sue Johnston...........they have started killing off their regulars and that's always a bad sign for me.
Where I think LRTC has the edge is that the original book has a definite timeline and going by that series 4 should be the last............1897 when Laura leaves Candleford.
6.8 million is a good crowd these days.......I'm betting on series 4:D:D

Really, i thought it was one of the worst episode so far. I was really bored, i cant stand Laura and have no interest in her relationships at all. Minnie is by far my favourite character, she just gets better and better and for me the best part of this episode is when she and Alf got it together right at the end, other than that it was a big borefest imo.

That's one hell of a twist:eek::eek: How could you do it:confused: Don't leave me in limbo........

Any good suggestions to pass the time for one who is already fed up of the World Cup?? Nothing but football talk at work all day. I'll start us off, LR2C everytime a football match is on. Yayy!!:D:D

I think the suggestion wa because of all the fainting she may be pregnant. I don't know if she's staying? Thought Dorcas suggested she went back to London and wait for Sir Tim?

It's a shame I like the dynamic that having Adelaide brings. It makes the candleford lot in particular show a different side to their character.

On the "something missing" bit...maybe Dorcas was saying is for Adelaide's benefit. She asked what was in Tim's eyes and once she knew that there was love there (he wasn't indifferent) she made up that there must have been something missing to put Adleaide's ind at rest.....

i dunno!

My goodness it's quiet on here. I can't believe anyone hasn't mentioned it yet so I guess I will. Did anyone spot the lovely Angelheart on GMTV this morning with Lorraine Kelly?

5 minutes on the sofa , and still my question about Season 4 remains hanging in the air as Lorraine didn't ask it!

Angelheart if you're reading, please could you tell us? Re GMTV this morning, I'm not sure I could cope with the raw food diet you mentioned, but you're looking fab on it so I'm not going to argue.

I've no idea how to post it on here but the Press Release for Ep 9 is now out. Looks like a Margaret v Emma & Dorcas v Thomas episode, with lots of Minnie thrown in for good measure. Lovely!

LtC is exactly the tonic we all need with such utterly rubbish weather outside ...I'm already looking forward to Sunday especially as it's a Dorcus meets Adelaide ep - Go Dorcus!

Just what we were saying earlier LR, how they kept churning out the episodes after the main characters left.......it just got dull, dull, dull with all the long lost relatives coming out of the woodwork.....went on far too long:mad

I think I'm right in saying LR that JS has worn that ring right from Series 1........I certainly remember it last year:)

Re Mr RA........you are obviously of the same ilk as BM..........personally I think he looks like Worf (from a certain angle anyway):D:D:D

(but i may have been drinking pop)

I don't want to give anything away because that would be wrong of me, but the I am desperate to, otherwise you are all going to be so disappointed. He is just a V.I.P in Larkrise to Cancdleford world, no-one you have ever seen before or know of. Sorry, hope I don't get into trouble for that..

Just been catching up on some programmes which I missed while a was away and discovered a little gem as part of the British Empty Homes series shown on BBC1. `i have Virgin so it was in the watch again bit.
This couple are looking for an old period home within an hours commute of London, they are looking at a lovely 200 year old (dilapidated) house in Greyshott and it's right next to the Post Office (this is where my ears pricked up) and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle was a regular visitor there. Those of you who have read Floras books will know that Flora went to work at the post office in Greyshott and mentions ACD as being a regular at the shop. Is this where the post master killed his wife???????
I've not watched all of the programme yet, I wondered whether anyone else has seen it?

Hello again everyone! Have been following the goss but didn't have anything to contribute until series 3 started.

I too was a bit irritated by the Dibber part of the plot - here we go again, I thought, lazy writing. And in episode 1 too - doesn't bode well. I wondered if I'd missed something and if it was an earlier relation of Emma's who was a Dibber. But Laura definitely said Emma was a Dibber until she married her pa (or should I say par). Hmm.

I found Daniel a bit smarmy but there is time for him to redeem himself. Quite liked the new Sydney but fervently hope they will stop calling him Little Man. Was amused by the endeavouring but wondered if the writers had also forgotten the episode where Thomas was the only one who knew how to handle a baby because he'd grown up in a houseful of small children - not much about the birRAB and bees he wouldn't know!

So the jury's out for me at the moment. But on the whole I did enjoy it and agree that Dorcas was back to form, Minnie as lovable and the Misses Pratt as endearing as ever!

Eeeeeee, I loved that episode! I whooped out loud :o when Alf gave Minnie a tender kiss at the end. Hehe, bout time too!!

I am already looking forward to next Sunday, but also not. What will I do with my Sunday evenings after that! No Easter Eggs for me this year! I shall be requesting series 3 on dvd!!
